On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the International Symposium on CO₂ Lean Ironmaking Technology (COOLIT2023), I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your participation in COOLIT held in Gyeongju and Pohang, Republic of Korea, from 25 to 28 June 2023.

This symposium was organized under the theme "Road to Green Steel", where the experts including you around the Asian-pacific region could share and discuss various CO₂ lean ironmaking technologies that have the potential to significantly reduce carbon emissions in the iron and steel industry, and it was successfully concluded with a total of 190 participants. We are truly honored to have such a distinguished gathering of experts and professionals in our midst.

Throughout the sessions, your active participation, in-depth discussions and engaging interactions created a vibrant atmosphere that fostered intellectual growth and fruitful connections among the participants. I extend our deepest appreciation to you for sharing your expertise, rich experiences and research findings in our fields. Your contributions not only enriched the symposium, but also provided a concrete direction for the steel industry towards a greener future. We are also grateful for the interest shown in the POSTECH and POSCO tours that took place after the technical sessions and hope that they were a valuable experience for the participants.
